TMS are running a self defense class on Thursday nights at Kanwal Scout Hall. If you are interested in TMS or would just like some further information, please contact Jeff or Stephen Dougherty (Directors of TMS Australia). All training equipment is provided. If you would like to continue, the price is $10 per class.No uniforms are required as we train in street clothes. (As knife skills are taught in these classes all participants must be over the age of 18). Classes are held on Thursday nights, from 7pm until 8:30 pm. We also have a Saturday morning class which starts at 9:00 am until 10:30 am. Your first lesson is FREE. In today’s society, one cannot be too prepared for the consequences of a street confrontation with the ever-increasing use of knives/sticks and other such weapons.TMS not only teaches you how to defend yourself against such attacks, but also teaches you how to defend yourself with the blunt and edged tools. AsTMS is not fitness orientated it is specifically designed to give the ‘every day’ person the skills and knowledge to defend ones self. TMS is perfect for any person male or female who wishes to learn reality based self-defense, regardless of your fitness level, age or previous self-defense experience. Modern Arnis comprises elements of stick, knife and empty hand self defense. TMS is based on the Filipino Martial Arts of Modern Arnis. (more).
