The Central Coast Baby Ballet Program was designed and developed to help young dancers prepare for formal ballet classes. Let your child become a fairy, or a butterfly, a swan, a dinosaur, while learning basics of ballet! Class size is limited to 15 students per class to maximize each child's development. To keep the children's imaginations engaged and help develop English skills, many exercises use stories, songs and images. They will explore the tremendous movement possibilities of their bodies--running, doing their own movements and dancing with others, exploring contrasting movement dynamics and qualities, stretching, bending, jumping, while developing the skills needed for more formal ballet study. Character and Free Movement methods are also great fun for the students. Free movement also introduces classical ballet with a more relaxed approach and is a wonderful tool for developing creativity in children. The curriculum combines RAD syllabus with free exercises and class activities to develop creativity and the acquisition of ballet technique appropriate for the age and development of the dancer. The lessons are designed developmentally for 3 to 5 year old boys and girls. The exercises and fun activities are educational as well as providing consistency and structure.
